Position: Internal Sales Executive Job Type: Permanent Location: Newport Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per year (depending on experience and a successful interview) Internal Sales Executive Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive on behalf of our client based in Newport. Our client operates within the steel industry and also supplies a wide range of related products including fencing, flooring, and general components. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a well‑established and growing business. As an Internal Sales Executive, you will play a key part in managing customer enquiries, generating sales, and supporting trade counter operations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in internal sales, customer service, or trade counter work within an industrial or construction‑related environment. Responsibilities

Handling inbound sales enquiries by telephone and email Building strong relationships with existing and new business customers Preparing quotes, processing orders, and managing customer accounts Upselling additional products including steel, fencing, flooring, fixings and associated materials Supporting customers face‑to‑face on the trade counter Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery Maintaining accurate sales records and updating CRM systems Providing excellent product knowledge (full training provided) Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of internal sales experience Strong communication and customer service skills Confident telephone manner and ability to manage multiple enquiries Experience in steel, construction products, or industrial materials (advantageous but not essential) Good attention to detail and accuracyIT literate and comfortable using email, order systems and CRM software Reliable, professional and able to work as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop

Pay & Shifts

£28,000 - £30,000 per year (depending on experience) Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00
