Job Title: Build EngineerLocation: Hemel Hempstead, UK (On-site)Salary: £35,000 (depending on experience)Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Build Engineer to join our growing technical team in London. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising build systems and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery across projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain build and deployment pipelinesManage and improve CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Troubleshoot and resolve build and integration issuesCollaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to streamline workflowsAutomate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errorsMaintain build infrastructure and ensure system scalabilityMonitor build performance and implement improvementsEnsure code quality through integration of testing and validation toolsDocument build processes, tools, and configurationsRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Build Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar roleStrong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity)Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell)Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong problem-solving and debugging skillsDesirable Skills Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Exposure to microservices architectureUnderstanding of security best practices in build and deploymentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Important Competencies to have!Excellent attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, agile environmentProactive and solution-oriented mindsetWhat We OfferCompany benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and innovative work environmentJBRP1_UKTJ
