Role: IT Desktop & Network Operations EngineerLocation: Wrexham - 5 days onsite (non-negotiable)Start: ASAPThe OpportunityWe're supporting a global organisation with a requirement for a hands-on IT Desktop & Network Operations Engineer to join an established onsite support team.This role sits within a highly regulated environment (manufacturing/laboratory setting) and requires someone comfortable working face-to-face with users, supporting business-critical systems and infrastructure.This is a practical, on-the-tools role - ideal for someone who enjoys being onsite, solving issues directly, and supporting a live operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 2nd line desktop and infrastructure supportDeliver face-to-face support to end users (including operational staff)Support:Windows OS installation & troubleshootingWindows Server environments (2008-2016)Active Directory & user adminWSUS & patch managementAssist with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)Support VMware, RDP, Citrix environmentsDeliver device rollouts, upgrades, and enterprise-wide deploymentsWork within a process-driven, regulated environmentRequired Skills2-5+ years in IT Support / Desktop / Infrastructure rolesStrong 2nd line support capabilityExperience with:Windows OS & ServerActive DirectoryPatch management (WSUS)TCP/IP, DHCP, DNSVMware / Citrix / RDPStrong customer-facing skillsComfortable working fully onsiteNice to HaveExperience supporting:Manufacturing environmentsPharmaceutical / life sciencesLaboratory or regulated environmentsJBRP1_UKTJ
