This is a hands-on leadership role within a growing organisation where you'll take ownership of core infrastructure, lead a small team, and play a key role in modernisation and cloud migration initiatives.The OpportunityThis is a newly created role due to growth, offering the chance to take ownership of a global infrastructure environment spanning multiple sites. You'll lead a team of engineers while also managing offshore resource, ensuring high levels of service delivery across the business.You'll be central to everything from incident management and support through to project delivery and cloud transformation, with real autonomy and visibility across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a small infrastructure team (circa 3 engineers) plus offshore resourceOwn incident and problem management, acting as the escalation point through to resolutionDeliver reliable infrastructure support across multiple global sitesDrive service delivery standards and continuous improvementLead and contribute to infrastructure projects, including cloud migrationOversee hardware, systems, networks, and core IT servicesCollaborate with wider IT and business teams to ensure a stable, secure environmentWhat We're Looking ForProven experience managing multi-site infrastructure environments (5+ locations, ideally global)Strong background across on-prem and cloud infrastructure (Azure/M365)Hands-on approach to incident and problem management - not purely a delegatorExperience leading teams and managing third-party/offshore resourceStrong understanding of networking, virtualisation, and enterprise systemsAbility to balance operational support with project deliveryKey TraitsStrong ownership mindset - sees issues through to resolutionComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersProactive, organised, and solutions-focusedAdditional InfoThis is an ON-SITE role. 5 days a week onsite in Southend on Sea.
