IT Category Manager | £60,000 to £70,000 | 30% Bonus | Healthcare | Pension | 25 days holiday | London or Leeds - 1 to 2 days a week | A global business who own a number of well known brands
A new IT Category Manager role working for a company who has just been formed off the back of a large transformation where the group now owns 4 or 5 large well known brands.
You'll report into the Head of Procurement - IT who is building out the function in line with business growth, where you'll take ownership of all IT spend along with a number of other IT Category Managers.
Role and responsibilities:
Create relevant category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
Support the development of category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects
Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationships
On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
Worked for a large, complex and multi-site business
Category experience in IT and Technology
Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level+
Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship
Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business
Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team
MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
