Operating within a global delivery environment, the IT Test Lead will design, execute, and evaluate comprehensive testing strategies to ensure systems perform reliably and meet agreed quality standards across regions and stakeholders.This role is hands‑on in nature and will suit someone experienced in working across multi‑country programmes and matrixed teams. Our teams are embracing change, fostering new ways of working and we have never been more resolute in our mission - "you work for us, and we’ll work for you".What you will be doingTest Design and DocumentationLead development of detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and technical requirements.Ensure comprehensive coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements, including edge cases and negative scenarios.Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation in line with organisational standards.Defect Identification and ManagementAccurately identify, document, and elevate defects using the approved defect tracking tool.Work collaboratively with developers and other team members to verify fixes and manage re‑testing and regression testing as needed.Track defects through to resolution and validate successful defect closure.Test ReportingProvide timely updates on testing progress, defect status, and overall test outcomes.Contribute to test summary reports and support go/no‑go decisions by highlighting risks, blockers, and test coverage gaps.Maintain metrics related to test execution (e.g., pass/fail rates, number of defects raised/closed, test case coverage).Test Environment and Data PreparationEnsure the setup and configuration of test environments in coordination with infrastructure or DevOps teams.Coordinate and manage the test data creation, load and refresh to support accurate and repeatable test execution.Ensure environments are stable and available throughout testing cycles.Test AutomationDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using approved tools.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where possible.Regularly review and update scripts to reflect system changes and improve efficiency.User Acceptance Testing (UAT) SupportSupport business stakeholders during UAT by providing guidance, preparing test cases, and capturing feedback.Document UAT defects and work with business and technical teams to drive resolution.Validate that UAT criteria have been met and obtain appropriate approvals.You will ideally haveEducated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, reflecting a strong technical foundation suited to enterprise environments.Strong experience with test management and defect tracking tools commonly used in global delivery teams, such as JIRA, TestRail, and HP ALM, including end‑to‑end defect lifecycle management and test execution.Proven ability to log, track, prioritise, and communicate defects clearly across distributed development, business, and vendor teams, ensuring transparency and timely resolution.Demonstrated capability to analyse complex business and technical requirements, assess test results, and identify gaps, risks, and issues that may impact delivery at scale.Solid understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing, applied within fast‑paced, multi‑release environments.Experience testing applications across multiple platforms and technologies, such as web, desktop, mobile, and APIs, often as part of integrated enterprise systems.Sound awareness of quality assurance standards, auditability, and the importance of end‑to‑end traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.Ability to critically assess requirements and design test scenarios that focus on high‑risk and high‑business‑impact areas within complex operational landscapes.Strong skills in root cause analysis, with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards across teams or regions.Working knowledge of test automation frameworks, relevant scripting languages, and CI/CD pipeline integration, supporting scalable and efficient testing practices.Exposure to one or more enterprise functional domains, such as ERP, CRM, eCommerce, Marketing, Logistics, or HR systems, ideally within global or multi‑region implementations.In return for your commitment, you can expectA competitive salary packageIndustry leading benefitsRicoh is an exceptional place to work.
