Mercator is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking?Java Developer with excellent communication skills who can help Mercator in its continued transformation. You will be open-minded, happy to work on your own or as part of a team and want to learn new technologies and promote best practice.
Mercator Java Developers work collaboratively in multidisciplinary agile scrum teams to develop, modify and maintain user interfaces for new digital services. Using agile methods, you will work closely with other members of the scrum team throughout the development cycle in order to design, build, test, maintain and support the new digital services.
As a Java Developer you will have:
Excellent java development skills and a strong track record of designing, developing, delivering, testing and optimising java applications for public use
A strong understanding of data security and security testing
Experience with JVM fundamentals and modern Java versions
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code and design patterns
Hands on knowledge of Spring or Camel
Experience in unit and integration testing
Understanding of microservice architecture
Strong collaboration skills and experience in working in an agile environment
