Job role:Joiner/multi trades Location:South Down Working hours: 40 hours Responsible:Contracts Manager JOB SUMMARY Due to a new contract we are seeking to employee a multi trades operative. The job will require the individual to work flexibly and travel across South Down and also use their own initiative in a fast-moving environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain communication with peers, client services team, contractors and management Responsible for measurements and quality control Responsible for acting safely and following all company HS protocols Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works within qualified work areas Attend, diagnose and repair faults/issues having due regard to customer care in this specific environment Commitment to a call out rota Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently Carry out the actual work to the high quality standards that CTS Projects Ltd expect Uphold Data Protection Policies Travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland as required with main work located around County Down Check integrity of fire doors QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Experience of - 1st and 2nd fix joinery (2nd fix predominantly), fitting wall and floor tiles, kitchen fitting, flooring etc. Completed trade apprenticeship Full clean driving License Experience of working at heights / roof repairs desirable Experience of working on maintenance contracts/Construction industry preferred Fire door qualification (desirable) Attributes/Skills: The successful candidate should: Be capable of working on own initiative Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Have a good timekeeping and attendance record Have the ability to work with a wide range of people Be a good team player Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks Be reliable & committed Have ability to work to deadlines Participate in overtime when required (including weekends) Have ability to take on new skills Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques Health & Safety: Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed Observe & follow all manual handling practices In addition, As the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations, we will require a recent Enhanced Access NI certificate CTS will perform a Access NI check as part of the on-boarding process. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from employment.
