Junior Sous Chef

We are looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at a unique independent venue that combines a vibrant restaurant, cocktail bar, and live music experience. Our concept brings together great food, expertly crafted drinks, and an energetic atmosphere, creating a destination where guests come to eat, drink, and enjoy live performances. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen

Help lead and motivate the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation

Prepare and cook dishes to the restaurants standards, ensuring consistency and attention to detail

Assist with menu development, including seasonal dishes and specials

Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times

Support stock control, ordering, and waste management

Help train and develop junior members of the kitchen team

Maintain a well-organised and efficient kitchen environment, particularly during busy service periods

Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure a great overall guest experience

About You

Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chefor similar role

Passion for high-quality food and working with fresh ingredients

Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure

Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards

A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Creative mindset with an interest in contributing to menu ideas and specials

Comfortable working in a lively hospitality environment with busy evening services
