Stem + Stem is a restaurant and florist in the heart of the City of London. Our kitchen focuses on seasonal British produce, wild foods, foraged ingredients and nose-to-tail cooking , with menus that change frequently and a strong emphasis on creativity and ingredients at their best.
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef with high-end cooking experience to join our small, ambitious kitchen team.
This role suits a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up , or an existing Junior Sous who enjoys working with excellent produce, unusual ingredients and a kitchen that cooks with the seasons.
The Role Supporting the Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations
Leading sections during service
Maintaining high standards of preparation, organisation and cleanliness
A passion for wild foods & foraged ingredients
Cooking with seasonal British produce and regularly changing menus
Contributing to daily and weekly specials
Assisting with ordering, stock control and waste management
Maintaining strong food safety and HACCP standards
What Were Looking For Experience in high-end, quality-led kitchens
Currently a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
Strong technical cooking ability and attention to detail
An interest in seasonal, produce-led cooking and unusual ingredients
Calm and reliable during service
Positive attitude and strong team ethic
