You’ll be embedded within project delivery teams and supported by senior engineers and directors to build your skills in a supportive, yet autonomous environment.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop structural designs and calculations for multi-material projects—including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.\nPrepare reports, drawings, and specifications aligned with current British Standards (BS) and Eurocodes (UK–compliant).\nCollaborate with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural elements.\nConduct design reviews, checking and quality controlling work across junior team members’ output.\nVisit sites as required for feasibility studies, inspections, and to support project execution.\nEngage in technical meetings and support presentations to clients and delivery teams.\nContribute to internal continuous improvement such as optimising design workflows or enhancing digital tools/software processes.\n\n Your Profile\n\n Essential:\n\nBachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nMinimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in structural design, including use of analysis software (e.g., Tekla, SCIA, SAP2000, IDEA Statica) and CAD/BIM platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).\nStrong technical knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, or timber design in accordance with UK regulations.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.\nClear communication abilities, both verbal and written—confident in producing reports and presenting to internal teams and clients.\nA proactive, team-oriented attitude; keen to learn and progress.\nDesirable (but not essential):\n\nFamiliarity with sustainability or embodied carbon assessment tools.\nExperience with multidisciplinary project delivery and client-facing exposure.\nChartered status (ICE, IStructE) or clear route toward professional accreditation.\n\n What You’ll Gain\n\nA structured progression path, with regular feedback, CPD opportunities, and technical support.\nExposure to diverse project types—from urban residential developments and commercial refurbishments to light industrial and educational projects.\nA friendly, open culture with hybrid working flexibility based in their modern Sale office.\nCompetitive benefits such as pension, annual performance bonus, and access to training programs.\n\n How to Apply\n\n If you’re ready to step into a role where you'll grow technically, engage with clients, and help shape impactful projects around Manchester, we'd love to hear from you.
