The Role - KS2 SEN Teacher - Royston
In this role, you will:
Deliver engaging, nurture-based teaching to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches consistently
Plan and deliver personalised learning aligned with EHCP outcomes
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, therapists, and external professionals
Create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and valued
You will have a genuine opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships that empower pupils to grow in confidence, self-regulate, and rediscover a love of learning.
The Ideal Candidate - KS2 SEN Teacher
We are looking for someone who:
Holds QTS or QTLS (desirable), or has significant experience within an SEN/SEMH setting
Has experience supporting KS2 pupils with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs
Demonstrates resilience, patience, and consistency
Is skilled in building positive, restorative relationships
Can commute to Royston
Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
Is enthusiastic about ongoing professional development
