Working hours: 9am-5pm Saturday *Responsibilities (general)*: § To assist the laboratory management in all aspects of compliance with relevant technical and quality standards in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 § To assist the full time staff in operating the Saturday shift. The ideal candidate will have some relevant training or work experience. A potential exists for additional hours during week days to cover the existing staff. *Responsibilities (specific)*: § Ensure the correct documentation is in place for all samples received to facilitate accurate and timely processing § Perform microbiological & chemical testing using a variety of analytical techniques in accordance with the relevant standards and SOPs § Prepare and publish customer reports and provide follow-up customer support where necessary § Prepare media & perform Media QC § Carry out goods received procedures § Perform IQC according to the accredited IQC Procedure and periodic EQA as required § Ensure that all calibration, daily checks and maintenance are performed in line with company procedures and UKAS accreditation § Facilitate the day to day operation of the lab as well as specific test requirements in response to customer demands Job Type: Part-time Pay: £13.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 per week Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking Schedule: * 8 hour shift Application question(s): * Have you previously been employed by a commercial laboratory ? * This position is for working a Saturday shift only, does this meet with your working requirements?
