The Role
As the most senior individual contributor in our User Research & Insights team, you will be a strategic influencer shaping decision-making across the organization. You’ll serve as a trusted voice within a multidisciplinary team, providing high-impact, structured insights that go beyond basic metrics—integrating the voice of the customer into strategic planning and performance evaluation. Your work will highlight key moments, uncover growth opportunities, and influence how Deliveroo wins with customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of consistent, robust insight reports that inform business decisions.
- Ensure insights delve deeper than surface metrics, embedding understanding of customer needs into strategies and market actions.
- Utilize diverse data sources, focusing on quantitative analysis (SQL/Python/R skills desirable), to connect research findings with internal data (e.g., order volume, retention) and market benchmarks.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable stories for stakeholders to make informed, customer-focused decisions.
- Promote the use of self-serve research tools and dashboards to foster an insight-driven culture.
- Present findings to large audiences, adapting your communication style for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage challenging stakeholders and influence at senior levels.
What You’ll Bring
You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence decisions through deep, data-driven user insights. You have experience framing problems, identifying opportunities, and driving business actions.
You are confident with mixed methods, possess advanced quantitative skills, and can design and execute robust research programs. You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, conceptual agility, and can interpret behavioral trends, triangulate qualitative findings, and craft compelling insights for senior stakeholders.
Your curiosity extends to emerging technologies, including AI, with practical examples of how you've used AI tools to enhance research—from insight generation to analysis.
You are highly organized, thrive in fast-paced environments, and prioritize impactful work. You are passionate about customer-centricity and take ownership of the quality and influence of your insights.
Finally, you are a confident communicator, skilled at crafting persuasive insight narratives that help shape business understanding and customer service strategies.
This high-visibility role operates under Deliveroo’s hybrid working policy (three days per week in London HQ), with occasional travel to global markets including the UAE and France.
