Senior Recruitment Consultant - Analytics Recruiter in the North & Midlands (UK)

Lead Data Scientist – Machine Learning – Consultancy

Location: Remote options

Salary: Up to £100,000

Type: Permanent

THE COMPANY

This established consultancy works across sectors like retail, sports, media, and customer analytics—delivering end-to-end machine learning and AI solutions. From building recommendation engines to developing predictive analytics at scale, they help top-tier clients unlock value through data. With continued growth, they’re hiring an experienced ML-focused Lead Data Scientist to join their team.

THE ROLE

As a Lead Data Scientist, you’ll remain hands-on while owning the delivery of end-to-end ML projects—from scoping to deployment. You’ll lead small technical teams, work directly with clients, and deliver real business impact through data science.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and deploy machine learning models (classification, segmentation, propensity etc.)
• Collaborate with clients to scope and deliver bespoke data science solutions
• Mentor junior team members and manage small project teams
• Engage stakeholders and present key findings and ROI

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong Data Science experience, ideally in a consultancy or client-facing role
• Strong Python and ML experience; built and deployed models from scratch
• Skilled in predictive analytics and commercial applications
• Excellent communication skills with a strategic mindset
• Bonus: experience in customer analytics or personalisation
