Job Title: LeadEngineering Manager - Civils & Stations
Location: UK Wide (with significant travel required)
Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella only)
Duration: Ongoing long-term project
We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to oversee a team of NEC3 Supervisors working on a major UK infrastructure programme across Civils and Stations. This is a leadership-focused role requiring someone who can provide technical direction, ensure delivery excellence, and champion quality across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of NEC3 Supervisors, ensuring consistent application of standards and procedures.
Oversee competency, reporting, and performance KPIs across the supervisory function.
Promote best practice in engineering supervision and drive continuous improvement.
Attend and contribute to the Quality Leadership Forum, sharing insight and lessons learned.
Manage implementation of disallowed cost processes for defects across contracts.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and contractor organisations to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Key Requirements
Proven experience leading NEC Supervisor teams on major civil engineering or infrastructure programmes (mega-project experience ).
NEC3 Supervisor accreditation (essential).
Strong understanding of NEC contract principles, quality management, and defect resolution.
Skilled in performance management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
Confident communicator capable of building rapport with senior stakeholders across multiple contractors.
Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and regional offices.
