ASR are supporting a well-established manufacturing business with the appointment of a Head of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) this is a key leadership role reporting directly to the COO.
This is a high-impact position with full ownership of HSE strategy, compliance and cultural development across multiple sites.
Salary is up to £65k plus pension & benefits
My client are currently expanding rapidly and the site is in the process of implementing a large investment plan across the whole operation, so this is an exciting time to join the SLT.
The Opportunity
You will act as the organisation’s lead HSE authority, driving a proactive, best-in-class safety and environmental culture while ensuring full compliance with UK legislation.
Key focus areas include:
Leading and developing HSE strategy across all sites
Ensuring compliance with UK legislation including CDM Regulations 2015, RIDDOR and Environmental standards
Acting as the primary contact for regulators, insurers and external bodies
Driving continuous improvement through data, audits and incident analysis
Leading HSE input across capital projects and site developments
Overseeing environmental performance, sustainability initiatives and compliance
Managing emergency planning, business continuity and site preparedness
Delivering training, engagement and building capability across the business
What We Are Looking For:
Proven senior HSE leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and project safety
Demonstrable experience building and embedding HSE systems and culture
Confident influencing at senior leadership level
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to drive improvements through data
Experience managing audits, regulatory relationships and incident investigations

Mon to Friday role 40hrs p/w with flexibility around start finish times & working week.
