Location: LiverpoolContract: Full-time, Term-time only\nSalary: 95-100 per day\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nWe are working with a Primary School in Liverpool to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join their early years team. You will supporting a mainstream primary school with a high proportion of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). This role involves supporting individual and small groups of children, some of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN), to ensure they can access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide tailored support to children with EAL and SEN needs, helping them engage in classroom activities.\nWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).\nAssist with language development through structured activities and play-based learning.\nPromote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.\nSupport with personal care and daily routines where required.\nPrepare resources and contribute to a stimulating learning environment.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nExperience working with young children, ideally in an early years setting.\nUnderstanding of strategies to support EAL learners and children with SEN.\nPatience, empathy, and strong communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team.\nRelevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years) desirable.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nSupportive leadership and a welcoming school community.\nOpportunities for professional development and training in EAL and SEN support.\nA rewarding role where you can make a real difference in children's lives.
