Learning Support Assistant - Chesham, Buckinghamshire

Support students with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive secondary environment.

Tradewind is recruiting a compassionate and pro-active Learning Support Assistant in Chesham, Buckinghamshire for a forward-thinking secondary academy with a strong commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.

The role focuses on supporting students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key duties:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs
• Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and organisation
• Support students with social, emotional or behavioural needs
• Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral staff
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting young people or SEN (school, care, youth work or similar)
• Is patient, resilient and adaptable

• Understands safeguarding responsibilities and KCSIE requirements
• Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
