OverviewOur client is a leading organisation based in the Northamptonshire region now seeking to hire a Legal Counsel with experience in non-contentious construction contracts to join their In-House legal function. The role offers a hybrid working model with flexibility, alongside an attractive bonus and benefits package.Role detailsPosition: In-House Legal Counsel, ConstructionRole Type: Permanent (Ideally full-time, part-time will be considered)Location: Northamptonshire (Hybrid & Flexible Working)Salary Range: £60,000 to £100,000 per annum (DOE) + Excellent Bonus & BenefitsResponsibilitiesAdvise the business on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, ensuring contracts are structured, negotiated, and executed effectively.Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts including JCT and NEC contracts, consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, and associated agreements.Develop and maintain contract precedents, templates, and guidance notes to streamline processes.Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory developments affecting construction and infrastructure projects.QualificationsQualified as a UK Solicitor or BarristerExperience and background in non-contentious construction law, gained in-house or at a law firm.Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.Experience in reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements.What’s on offerSalary: £60,000 – £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Flexibility: Hybrid & flexible working arrangement – open to discussing the number of days per week in the office (office presence is required)Interested?Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
