An opportunity to join an independent charitable foundation dedicated to advancing climate solutions around the world. They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their inhouse team on a permanent basis.

The role of Legal Counsel will involve supporting the General Counsel and colleagues across Operations and Programme teams. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating grant agreements, commercial contracts, MoUs/partnership agreements and supplier T&Cs as well as developing and implementing legal policies and procedures. You will also support on all areas of the grant-making process as well as advising on risk, governance matters and regulation.

To be considered for the role, you will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister (UK or equivalent jurisdiction) with a minimum of 2 years PQE, with experience of negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements with strong attention to detail. Experience of working within a charity, NGO, philanthropic or grant giving organisation is desirable, as is exposure to or an interest in IT, artificial intelligence and/or investments (especially impact investments).
