We are seeking a proactive and experienced Legal PA to join our leading Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a dynamic group of legal professionals who excel in navigating complex commercial challenges.

Our team is highly skilled in litigation, arbitration, costs, contentious insolvency, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. In this role, you will primarily support the Head of the Dispute Resolution team in Manchester and the Head of Costs in Manchester, contributing at a management level while working alongside a Legal PA and a Junior Legal PA within the office and the wider UK PA Team.
Responsibilities
- Diary management: Partners/fee earners have all the required materials for their client meetings; arrange meetings; ensure business travel info is entered into calendars; file management; mailbox management; monitor and be the gatekeeper to fee-earners' mailbox; communicate with fee earners; undertake limited typing; proactive client liaison; delegate work to secretarial resources; manage billing and financial requirements.
- Proactive billing and credit control: Check time recording, liaise with Billing, ensure invoicing, build understanding of client billing requirements, prepare draft narratives, submit invoices, resolve billing issues.
- Marketing Support: Photography, website content updates, uploading profiles, proofreading, maintaining credentials and bidding libraries.
- Business Development: Manage contact data, collate information, organize calls and travel, assist team workload, perform ad hoc tasks.
- Other: Support client onboarding, liaise on AML info, prepare engagement letters.
Experience and Knowledge
- Legal PA experience
- Ability to liaise with Courts and Counsel
- Experience producing court bundles
- Excellent diary management and organisation skills
- Effective communication and relationship building
- Teamwork skills
- Fast, accurate typist
- Proficient in legal document production
- Professional telephone manner
- Technical skills: MS Office, legal finance system, CRM system (InterAction)
