In‑house Insurance Legal Recruiter | Hiring Legal, Wordings & Governance talent into the Insurance Sector New role for a Legal & Wordings Counsel for a leading, multi‑national specialty (re)insurer. The role is a 12‑month maternity cover, starting January 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Drafting, negotiating and reviewing key insurance agreements and contracts. Supporting the underwriters on policy wordings queries, ensuring the suite of wordings is up to date. Advising underwriters regarding endorsements and changes to policy wordings across multiple lines of business. Advising on key commercial insurance agreements, including NDAs, TOBAs, Binding Authority Agreements and TPAs. Assessing and advising on key regulatory changes affecting the business from a legal perspective, including FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s regulations. Occasionally supporting on litigation and arbitration matters where needed.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years PQE, with strong experience in Insurance Law, ideally within the London Market/Lloyd’s. You will be a first‑time mover from Private Practice, or working in‑house for a leading (re)insurer. Experience of drafting policy wordings is advantageous.
