LGV Driver (C / C+E) RORO / Bulker

Salary: £16.02 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (occasional overtime may be required)
Location: Mid & East Kent sites

As an LGV Driver (C / C+E) at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient and professional service across our Mid & East Kent contract and off-taker sites. You will be responsible for operating LGV vehicles to the highest standards while promoting excellent health, safety and environmental practices at all times.

This is a full-time position, working as part of a supportive and experienced transport team.

What will you be doing?

- Driving allocated LGV vehicles (C / C+E) safely and efficiently across Mid & East Kent and associated sites
- Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe condition
- Complying with all applicable legislation, including driver hours, working time directives and environmental permits
- Completing and returning all required documentation accurately and on time, including tachograph records and defect reports
- Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses in line with company procedures
- Communicating effectively with the Transport Office and colleagues to support smooth operations
- Promoting a professional image both on and off the highway
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the contract or line management

What are we looking for?

- A clean LGV licence for the relevant category (C or C+E)
- Digital driver card and Driver Qualification Card (CPC) essential
- Good understanding of road haulage, driver hours and working time regulations
- Previous RORO, hookloader or drawbar experience (desirable, but not essential full training provided)
- Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental compliance
- A flexible, reliable, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional, resilient and safety-conscious attitude
