Job Description
We have a growing fleet of artics and skip wagons, including our new HVO wagon! As a result, we are looking for a HGV Mechanic to expand our small, but skilled, workshop team, and undertake regular inspections, proactive maintenance and reactive repairs.*\n*plan and carry out repairs/maintenance and servicing of our fleet vehicles and trailers \n* co-ordinate maintenance activity and achieve timely, prioritised maintenance, repair and servicing, working in partnership with the transport management team \n* carry out regular inspections of fleet vehicle tyres and wheels, arranging replacement or repair as required \n*relevant qualification in HGV repair and maintenance, or compensating work experience \n* skilled in the maintenance of a wide variety of vehicles, plant and machinery, including the safe use of appropriate tools and equipment \n* good understanding of HGV service and maintenance requirements \n* proficient in diagnosis and repairs to hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems \n* a full, clean driving licence \n* valid Category C licence would be advantageous, but not essential \nCompetitive Hourly Rate DOE\n* *45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (alternating weekly 6am-4pm / 10am-8pm)*\n* *1 in 2 Saturdays, 7am-12pm paid extra*\n* 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays, rising with service \n* Health Care Cash Plan, including dental and optical \n* Group Life Insurance cover \n* Contributory pension scheme \n* Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme \n* Employee Referral Scheme \n* Full PPE and uniform supplied \n* Lots of fantastic company events and perks \n*Dickinson & Sons was established in 1939, and we are proud to continue to serve the community as a family-owned and run business today.
