Coseley is one of 13 librariesoperatedby GLL in Dudley and is situated in the heart of its community. Coseley is a are busy library, giving access to a wide variety of collections and resources including books, periodicals, CD and DVD loans, public computers/internet access. This is an exciting time to join our team as a Library Manager as we improve and promote the libraries services for the people of Coseley whetheritsour valued existing users or widening the offering to a new group of customers.Whatyoulldo:As the Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the library as well as leading on strategic direction to expand library usage. You will oversee stock and undertake general administration including cash handling, safety and security of the building as well as being hands-on with community activities such as Baby Rhyme Time. You will also build good relationships with local contacts and partnerships to both enhance the service and ensure the library is an integral part of the community.As a leader within the leisureindustry,we can also offer scope to progress your career, and job variety like nowhere else.What you need:An enthusiastic and passionate manager, you will need to be very hands-on, therefore an excellent understanding of all library operations including budgetary control, stock development, people management and building management within a public library is essential. Naturally, you will have excellent ICT knowledge and the ability toidentifythe needs of the community around you whilst instilling excellent customer service standards in your team. Knowledge of safeguarding children will be essential.
