Litigation Team Leader - 2-8 PQE Solicitor

Our client, a specialist motoring boutique based in Bromley, is looking for an experienced Solicitor with management experience to help with the supervision and running their excellent Litigation and Credit Hire team! The team is well developed with 15 members, a team manager, and a development manager, but requires an strong Solicitor with excellent management skills to provide supervisory support and advise on complex matters. The further structure of the firm in includes a board of Partners that handle firm management, and several other related teams that work collaboratively. While a senior Solicitor is preferred, management and supervisory skills hold priority for this position and the firm would consider a junior Solicitor with experience assisting a similar team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Head up the Litigation & Credit Hire Department, managing a team of 15 legal professionals, identifying risks, and providing overall supervisory support.
• Support the continued progress of cases, ensure that matters progress at an efficient pace and advising team members on technical matters as needed.
• Personally run a small caseload (<50 matters) of Multi Track matters from start to finish, focusing on credit hire and debt recovery cases.
• Mentor and develop solicitors, fee earners, and support staff, driving the continued improvement of the team and greater firm.
• Carry out ad hoc duties and support firm Partners as required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• UK qualified Solicitor with 2-8 years PQE (other levels will be considered on a case by case basis),
• Demonstrated track record of management experience, supporting and supervising a mid size team in a commercially driven environment.
• Experience managing good quality litigated matters to include, at a minimum, experience with debt recovery or credit hire.
• A team player with strong communication skills,
• Self-motivated with an interest in personal and team development.
