The Wessex Mint is currently looking for a Live Operations Administrator to join our growing international team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast‑growing multi‑brand e‑commerce group headquartered in the UK, operating across the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia, and scaling towards £100 M in annual revenue. The Live Operations Administrator plays a key role in supporting live shopping and auction events by managing and moderating real‑time customer interaction, ensuring a high‑energy, engaging, and commercially effective live experience. This is a fast‑paced, operational role ideal for someone who is highly responsive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in real‑time environments. Key Responsibilities
Actively moderate live chat during auctions and live shopping events Maintain high levels of chat activity to support the flow of the auction Respond quickly and appropriately to viewer messages Ensure chat remains relevant, positive, and aligned with brand tone Prompt viewers to participate using proven engagement technique Encourage passive viewers to become active bidders or participants Welcome and onboard new viewers throughout the show Reinforce urgency using prompts, countdowns, and call‑to‑action messaging Highlight bidding activity and call out participants in real time Support the host in maintaining a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment Assist in driving momentum during key auction moments Help build a strong sense of community within live audiences Promote upcoming shows, announcements, and repeat attendance Encourage ongoing engagement beyond individual events
Requirements
Excellent written English (clear, fast, and confident communication) Ability to work a flexible shift schedule, including evenings and weekends Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in real‑time environments Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure live settings Strong typing speed and responsiveness Ability to follow structured processes while adapting quickly when needed Reliable internet connection and suitable home working setup Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
Previous experience in live chat moderation, customer support, or online community Experience with live selling, auctions, or social commerce platforms Familiarity with tools such as Shopify, Gorgias, or live streaming platforms Experience working remotely within international teams Interest in e‑commerce, live shopping, or digital engagement
