Job Title: Loading Shovel Driver (Wheeled Loading Shovel) Location: Lea Marston, Birmingham Job Type: Holiday Cover (1-week) Start Date: 07/04/2026 Pay Rate: £19.00 - £23.00 Per Hour (Negotiable Based on Experience and Pay Type)Industry: HS2 Precast, Asphalt, Concrete, Aggregates, Building Material, ManufacturingMorson Edge are looking for a Loading Shovel Driver in the Lea Marston, Birmingham area, due to upcoming holiday cover starting 07/04/2026.The role is holiday cover on HS2 Kingsbury Compound, and candidates will therefore need to be BBV inducted and have worked in a similar role previously, within the Aggregates / Construction sectors.Successful candidates will have previously worked as a Loading Shovel Drivers / Wheeled Loading Shovel Operators, transporting materials safely and efficiently, loading hoppers, moving aggregates and materials, from stock piles to bins. Further work may be based at different locations over the remainder of the summer months, based on client needs.Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Operate the loading shovel in a safe and efficient mannerTransport materials to feed screens, bins and hoppersLoad and unload materials as requiredPerform routine maintenance checks on the machineFollow health and safety procedures at all timesReport any issues or faults promptly Candidates will ideally: Hold a valid CPCS or NPORS Wheeled Loading Shovel LicenceHave been BBV inducted previously, holding a BBV induction cardPrevious experience working as a Loading Shovel Driver / Loading Shovel OperatorHave an understanding of health and safety regulations within construction aggregatesBe punctual, reliable with good communication skills For more information or to apply for the role, please contact Tim Smyth on 0121 200 5520.JBRP1_UKTJ
