Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer – Part Time – Up to £60 per hour Outside IR35 – Remote Working – Initial 3-6 months Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-6-month assignment. This role offers fully remote working arrangements and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial and Procurement Lawyer to support a busy legal team. The Role Position: Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the possibility for extension Rate: Up to £60 per hour Outside IR35 Working Pattern: Part Time, 10-20 hours per week Key Responsibilities

Handling a broad range of commercial and procurement matters. Providing legal advice on the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and framework agreements. Advising on governance, contract procedure rules, and tendering processes. Supporting the wider legal and procurement teams with ad hoc matters as required.

Ideal Candidate

Strong knowledge of commercial and procurement law, including upcoming legislative changes. Excellent drafting, advisory, and communication skills.
