Maintenance Technician Salary: £32,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits Location: London Contract: Full-time, Permanent The Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operation of commercial buildings, ensuring excellent visual standards, safety, and functionality at all times. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong all-round maintenance skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage both reactive and planned works across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Deliver reactive and planned maintenance tasks via an internal job management system Complete daily building checks and proactively identify maintenance issues Maintain high visual and presentation standards across offices and communal areas Complete tasks within agreed service levels and performance targets Communicate effectively with on-site teams, supervisors, and contractors Take ownership of cleanliness and safety of all work areas Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and internal procedures Maintain stock levels and ensure storage areas are organised and compliant Provide clear handovers and reports when work is passed to third parties Technical Responsibilities Painting and preparation of wall surfaces in offices and communal spaces Basic plumbing works, including taps, toilet fittings, and blockages Carpentry repairs and flat-pack furniture assembly Hanging wall-mounted equipment such as TVs, whiteboards, and signage Carpet tile removal and replacement Minor electrical works, including lighting and basic fault diagnosis Replacing door handles, hinges, and closers Moving furniture safely within operational buildings About You Previous experience in a building maintenance or facilities role Strong all-round trade skills (painting, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical) Confident using hand and power tools Comfortable using mobile or app-based systems to manage tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills Well organised, proactive, and able to work independently Trade or technical qualifications desirable but not essential Whats on Offer Salary: £32,000 per annum Flexible working hours 28 days annual leave plus your birthday off Option to buy additional annual leave Life assurance Health cash plan Discounted gym membership Season ticket loan 25% discount on on-site catering Paid volunteering days each year Supportive team environment and opportunities for development
