Job Description
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.\n\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our estates team based at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. \n\nKey Activities:\n\nReporting to the Operations Manager\nTo act as a lead technician for the site providing a thorough understanding of electrical building services installation and maintenance techniques\nTo apply trade skills and experience, including one to one training to members of the team.\nTo ensure the satisfactory completion of statutory obligations and the completion of allocated maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, new and refurbishment works, all within the SLA and KPI’s applied to site\nTo take on AP/RP roles where appropriate skills are held, or training provided\nCarry out testing and inspection to City & Guilds 2391 standard\nWorking 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday \n\nSkills & Qualifications:\n\nMust hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience.\nExperience in building services and knowledge of air handling plant and water hygiene is required\nWillingness to attain cross skilling\nExcellent customer service and communication skills with strong computer skills\nDemonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills\nAbility to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems\nIn-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, formal training an advantage \n\nOur excellent benefits package includes:\n\nGenerous holiday allowance\nCompany share scheme\n2 paid volunteering days a year\nCycle to work scheme\nSeason ticket loan\nEmployee assistance programme \n\nWho are we?\n\nEQUANS is a world leader in energy services with nearly 100,000 employees working in more than 50 countries, with an annual turnover of over 17 billion euros. \n\nIn the UK & Ireland, EQUANS is a provider of technical, FM, regeneration and energy services – with specialist capabilities in smart buildings, green mobility, district & embedded energy and decentralised renewables.\n\nEQUANS ’ 13,500 UK & Ireland employees combine these activities to help businesses, public sector organisations and government to embrace the energy transition towards net zero, and also the digital & industrial transitions that are redesigning the way we move, work and live.\n\nEQUANS is a Bouygues group company.\n\nWhat’s next?\n\nIf this role is of interest to you, please click below to register, apply, and track your progress!
