Maintenance Electrician

Currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join a busy facilities maintenance team within a large healthcare environment. This is a permanent, full-time role offering stability, structured working hours, and additional overtime opportunities.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide technical electrical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department. Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with agreed schedules and deadlines

Completing and maintaining accurate documentation to support PPM activities

Responding to reactive and emergency electrical faults to ensure compliance with KPIs

Undertaking reactive maintenance works as required

Managing sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures

Undertaking AP/RP duties for disciplines you are appointed to

Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota, with the ability to attend site within one hour of being called

In addition, you will take part in monthly generator testing, which takes place during the last full week of every month from 6:00am to 8:00am. This is paid as overtime, and you will then continue with your normal working shift for the day.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) / completed apprenticeship

Proven experience and knowledge of building services

Experience working in a maintenance or facilities environment

Willingness to participate in an on-call rota

Ability to pass a Standard DBS check
