Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're working with a leading manufacturer seeking an experienced Mechanically Biased engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement. Working hours: Monday to Thursday - 06:00 to 14:00, Friday - 06:00 to 11:00

What You'll Be Doing

Diagnose and repair faults across a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects. Work on mechanical tasks including turning, milling, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication. Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold health & safety standards. Collaborate with production teams to optimise machine performance.

What We're Looking For

Engineering qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Time-served engineer with 10+ years' experience post-apprenticeship. Strong mechanical background; experience in high-speed manufacturing (FMCG or automotive preferred). Knowledge of steel packaging machinery and some knowledge of electrical maintenance (PLC fault finding) is advantageous. Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable approach.
