Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing operation based in Banbury.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery and site equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of manufacturing and packaging machinery.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
* Minimise production downtime through efficient fault finding and repair.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
* Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
* Adhere to all health & safety, food safety, and site compliance standards.
* Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Requirements
* Electrically biased maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Experience with fault finding on automated production equipment.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems including motors, sensors, drives, and control systems.
* Basic mechanical maintenance skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Desirable
* Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
* Knowledge of PLC fault finding and automated production lines
