Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) - FMCG
Location: Harlow
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 5:00pm (45 hours per week)


About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and electrically qualified engineer with a strong background in production environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring machinery and site facilities operate efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all production machinery
  • Perform fault finding on electrical control systems
  • Ensure all maintenance routines and start-up procedures are followed and signed off
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations
  • Prioritise repairs to maximise production efficiency
  • Maintain accurate service schedules and intervals
  • Ensure all equipment, including scales, are calibrated correctly
  • Work in line with Health & Safety regulations, including working at height
  • Adhere to TQS systems and BRCGS standards within a hygienic production environment
  • Collaborate with management, supervisors, and production teams

?? What We're Looking For
  • Electrically qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Ideally 10-15 years' experience within an FMCG environment
  • Strong experience in electrical fault finding and control systems
  • Experience with Multi Vac or Thurn machinery (advantageous)
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across all levels
  • A reliable team player with a hands-on attitude
