Our client, a leading food manufacturer in Haverhill, is strengthening its night engineering team and is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support site reliability and performance. This Maintenance Engineer position offers long-term stability, a consistent 4 on 4 off pattern and the opportunity to work within a well-established, well-invested manufacturing environment. Working as a Maintenance Engineer on nights, youll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, responding to breakdowns and ensuring production targets and food safety standards are consistently met. What Youll Be Doing: Maintenance Engineer Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems Responding efficiently to breakdowns to minimise downtime Fault-finding across production machinery, PLCs and ancillary equipment Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site Ensuring all engineering activity meets health, safety and food safety standards Contributing to a proactive and reliable engineering function What Were Looking For: Maintenance Engineer NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent) Multi-skilled capability with both electrical and mechanical competence Experience within fast-paced manufacturing or food production Good understanding of health and safety legislation Knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPM principles Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification (desirable) Whats on Offer: Salary: £52,000 8% employer pension contribution 4 on 4 off night shift pattern Long-term stability within an established manufacturing site Opportunity to develop within a growing engineering team Location: Haverhill, Suffolk Job: Maintenance Engineer Shifts: 4 on 4 off nights (17:3005:30) If youre a Maintenance Engineer who wants a straightforward, stable role with responsibility on shift, apply now and take the next step in your engineering career.
