Permanent opportunity, Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer required for a Manufacturing company based in Cheltenham, GL51, paying upto £34,000 depending on experience. Working straight day shift Monday to Friday plus overtime with no weekend work or on call duties.

Our client is looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer that is roughly 70/30 mechanical and electrical to carry out planned and preventative maintenance on all their equipment as well as the infrastructure. You will be working with a small but passionate team who all have one goal which is to ensure the continued success of the business. The senior management team are continually looking at ways to improve the service they offer their customers which results in new equipment and processes being introduced to the shop floor.

As multi-skilled maintenance engineer your role will involve the following duties:

- Stripping out and repairing equipment; CNC, Saws and Manual Machines

- General building maintenance

- Rewiring of equipment (control panels)

- Ensuring planned maintenance of equipment is carried out to prevent machine stoppage's

- Carrying out reactive maintenance in an efficient manner to lessen downtime of equipment

- Suggesting improvements to plant and equipment

- Working with Hydraulics and Pneumatic

- Basic maintenance or Forklifts and Cherry pickers

As multi-skilled maintenance engineer for our client you will need the following:

- Competence in both mechanical and electrical disciplines

- Be agile as you will need to be able to manoeuvre in and around equipment

- Experience of working in a heavy duty environment would be useful

- Able to work alone and on own initiative

- Happy to look after the companies grounds also
