Maintenance Engineer

to join a fast-paced industrial site in

Chelmsford

on a

permanent late shift . You'll be responsible for keeping essential machinery and equipment running smoothly through a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance. This is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join a growing and well-invested operation with long-term career potential. Key Responsibilities: Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on production and plant equipment Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a wide range of machinery Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects Ensure compliance with health & safety and maintenance schedules Collaborate with the day and night shift teams to ensure smooth handovers Keep accurate records of all work completed What We're Looking For: Time-served or qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) Multi-skilled with a solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems Industrial experience (e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, waste, aggregates, etc.) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on a late shift Flexible and committed to high standards of work and safety What's in It for You: Salary up to £50,000
