Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £42,000 – £44,000 + Shift Allowance
Shifts: Rotating (Week 1: 6am – 2pm | Week 2: 2pm – 10pm)

We are a leading automotive manufacturing company based in West Bromwich, specialising in metal processing using advanced machinery including slitting lines, decoilers, and power presses. As we continue to grow and invest in our production capabilities, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and ongoing reliability of our mechanical and electrical systems. You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across our site.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine PPM on a variety of equipment including slitting lines, decoilers, and power presses
*
Respond quickly and efficiently to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime
*
Diagnose and repair electrical and/or mechanical faults
*
Work closely with the production team to ensure machines run safely and efficiently
*
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
*
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and ensure compliance across all maintenance work
*
Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis projects
Key Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role (mechanical or electrical bias)
*
Previous experience working with hydraulics is highly
*
Experience within the automotive or metal processing industry is advantageous
*
Strong knowledge of industrial machinery including slitting lines, decoilers, and presses
*
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
*
Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts
*
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
