Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Bilston Area Pay Rate: £17.70 per hour Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (38 hours per week)General Role: We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Bilston area for a Maintenance Engineer. This role is responsible for managing engineering resources on a daily basis to ensure all production functions operate efficiently, maximising uptime and meeting customer requirements.You will also be responsible for carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment, organising contractor work, and supporting wider company objectives while maintaining compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.Key Requirements:Strong communication skillsReliable timekeepingTeam player with respect for othersFlexible and positive attitudeAbility to follow instructions effectivelyExperience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with CNC and PLC machinery, rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind laminationMain Responsibilities:Plan and implement Preventive and Autonomous MaintenanceProvide engineering support across group companies when requiredEnsure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policiesMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentIdentify and report issues or unsafe practices promptlyMinimise production costs and wasteEvaluate equipment performance and implement improvementsRecommend and support process improvementsManage external contractors and service providersMaintain accurate maintenance records in line with company standardsManage spare parts planning and inventoryEnsure machinery and site services operate safely at all timesLearning & Development:Attend training sessions to support developmentParticipate in regular reviews with managementAdditional Duties:Carry out any other duties as requiredMaintain strict confidentiality at all timesMaintain and manage the company maintenance vehicleWhy Work for Pure Staff?
