Youll take ownership of the monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy across
balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
, and supporting the business through
year-end and external audit
. Youll also have responsibility for
transactional finance
overseeing purchase and sales ledger, cashbook, bank recs, and intercompany movements, while leading and developing a small team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards. Theres a strong commercial edge too: Support budgeting, forecasting, and the annual rent-setting process
Monitor and analyse spend, income, and cashflow to improve value for money
Present meaningful reports and analysis to the Senior Leadership Team
Review and enhance internal reporting, systems, and policies
Manage supplier contracts, terms, and negotiations
Youll play a key part in improving processes, supporting operational decision-making, and increasing the standard and value of financial information used across the organisation. Who will succeed here?
Likely someone who is: Part-qualified or qualified by experience in finance Confident managing all aspects of transactional and management accounting
A natural team leader, with a collaborative and supportive style
Experienced in improving processes and enhancing reporting
Comfortable working directly with senior leaders and external stakeholders
Exposure to housing, care, or the not-for-profit sector might be useful, but its not a deal-breaker.
