Join our dynamic team and other dedicated professionals, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing estate management for assigned assets within Homes England’s extensive and diverse land portfolio.
As an Estate Manager, you will bring technical expertise and strategic oversight to estate management, ensuring compliance with legal, health & safety, and risk management regulations. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices and ensuring Homes England meets its statutory and legal obligations while supporting the effective development of sites.
You’ll be joining a highly skilled and experienced team that forms part of our national Estates Management Team of 24 professionals, all committed to driving positive change in estate management and maintaining a safe, compliant estate. The team lead with a commitment to first‑class customer service, resolving issues proactively and fostering an innovative, collaborative environment where decision‑making and problem‑solving thrive.
This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of estate management in a fast‑growing, national organisation. Working alongside key stakeholders and a professional estate management team, you’ll ensure effective and efficient resolution of management challenges, contributing to the development of a proactive and agile estate management function.
Your work will span all stages of the development process from acquisition through to disposal including engagement at pre‑acquisition stages, peer assessments, and key approval milestones.
You will play a vital role in delivering key strategic projects within the Agency’s asset portfolio, bringing both day‑to‑day operational expertise and innovative solutions to estate management practices.
Please note: This role requires significant travel across England to visit and manage sites within the Homes England portfolio. A flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays will be essential to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications
A relevant surveying degree qualification complemented by a professional qualification (e.g., RICS / CIOB or similar).
Commercial and/or rural estate management experience, with the ability to support Acquisition, Delivery, and Disposal Teams in resolving complex estate challenges.
A strong understanding of health & safety legislation related to estate management, with NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications being an advantage.
Proficiency in managing a diverse portfolio of vacant and tenanted land, including high‑risk sites, brownfield, industrial, commercial, agricultural land, and other green estates.
Outstanding communication skills, enabling you to confidently lead estate management discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders from acquisition through disposal.
The ability to prioritise a busy workload, while demonstrating a collaborative and inclusive approach.
