Manager, Supply Chain

The Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management. This is a strategic and tactical role that is accountable for optimizing supply chain performance, driving cost efficiencies, ensuring material availability, and supporting company growth objectives through effective planning and execution. This role also leads a small team inclusive of the warehouse and buyer/planner activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, including cost reduction, risk management, and agility.
Drive cross-departmental review of spend analytics to identify cost optimization strategies in both direct and indirect procurement processes.
Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify opportunities and steer change to reduce expenses.
Lead analysis to mitigate obsolescence and supply chain chain disruption through the validation of alternate vendors and parts.
Serve as the key operational liaison between Supply Chain, Field Operations (Domestic/International), Finance, and other crossfunctional areas across the business to coordinate activities and service internal customers.
Own the annual supply chain budgets and collaborate with Finance on forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting related to supply chain performance.
Proactively manage risks and escalate issues impacting budget, forecast, or strategic goals.
Drive supplier performance through contracts, KPIs, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and ongoing relationship management.
Lead or support ERP/PLM and digital transformation initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Establish and track departmental KPIs; report to leadership on performance, gaps, and improvement plans.
Own and drive the global master production and material plan to maximize availability for manufacturing and service, while minimizing costs and on-hand inventory.
Accept demand inputs from across the organization (manufacturing, service, field change orders, etc.) to plan material procurement effectively.
Provide leadership to staff by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices, customer service, and safety conscious behavior.
Establish and document processes and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Monitor and measure the performance and activities of the warehouse with a primary focus on quality, operational efficiency, and profitability on a regular basis.
Develop, monitor, maintain, and execute effective inventory management processes to ensure high levels of on time shipping to the Field Operations staff.
Develop global warehousing and distribution strategy and act as lead contact coordinating any third party logistics services.
Lead efforts to ensure warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience required.
6+ years’ relevant experience in supply chain and buyer/planner type roles.
2+ year people management and/or team leadership experience .
APICS Certifications (CPIM, CSCP) greatly desired.
Experience working with contract manufacturers, global suppliers, and complex product assemblies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proven success increasing revenue, driving customer satisfaction, and/or improving efficiency in a warehouse/ inventory management setting.
Proven track record of developing strategies and leading cross-functional initiatives that drive performance improvement.
Strong understanding of ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
Comfortable communicating at all levels of an organization.
Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
Must have familiarity with financial statements.
Solid negotiating, consulting skills, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products with a very high level of Microsoft Excel skill, including the ability to utilize advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros to analyze complex data and prepare reports.
Location & Travel Expectations
This position is based in Kent, WA (Seattle area). A hybrid schedule of on-site and work from home is welcome.
This position requires up to 10% business travel.
Physical Requirements
Warehouse work involves regularly positioning oneself (e.g., standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, pushing and pulling) to frequently handle or move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 70lbs. Frequently uses hands to sort and package material. Regularly ascends and descends stairs and step stairs (including carrying up to 50lbs while ascending the stairs). Communicates or exchanges information in person or electronically with co-workers and other individuals.
Pay and Benefits
The typical starting salary range for this position is between $113,892-$142,365 per year. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Employees in this position have the potential to increase their base salary up to $170,837per year, which is the max end of the range, based on ongoing demonstrated and continuous performance in the role. Short-Term and Long-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.
