Our client is a very successful precision engineering business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. We are seeking candidates with previous manufacturing engineer experience working in a precision engineering or automotive manufacturing background. £38K -£40K Neg + Benefits The Role: The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing effective technical documentation support and process improvement activities for a busy automotive engineering business. Your duties will include: - Liaise with clients, design, engineering and production teams to ensure effective manufacture of orders Produce works instructions and package of works Produce PPAP documentation while liaising project managers and quality teams BoM's Use CAD software to create imagery to support manufacturing Monitor and report on project /order progress Review supply chain and procurement functions and negotiate cost reductions, improved service etc. Candidate: The Manufacturing Engineer will have at least 3 years manufacturing engineer experience in a precision engineering / automotive manufacturing environment. You'll be competent in the use of Microsoft Packages including MS Project and you will have a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering. AutoCAD and design engineering skills will be advantageous. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 37hrs
