Location: Southwark (Hybrid – 3 days per week in borough) Contract: Initial 3 months Hours: 36 hours per week Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella) (£22 PAYE an hour)

Southwark Council is looking for an experienced Marketing Communications and Engagement Officer to support our fostering recruitment programme through the development and delivery of a strategic, targeted, and inspiring marketing and communications plan.

This is a vital opportunity to support life-changing work, helping us attract and engage foster carers across the borough. You'll work seamlessly across both the Communications Team and Children’s Services, ensuring a joined-up, insight-led approach that drives meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive marketing, communications and engagement strategy for fostering recruitment. Produce engaging and persuasive copy for a range of digital and offline channels. Manage and optimise digital advertising campaigns, including paid social and targeted web content. Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent messaging and a unified approach to engagement.
