The Governance, Risk & Controls Manager is a key member of the Marketing Operations team, ensuring that strong governance, effective risk management, and robust control frameworks underpin the GI Go To Market (GTM) function. The team safeguards compliance and operational integrity across GI by maintaining clear standards, monitoring adherence, and enabling informed decision-making. This 6 month opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping frameworks, driving high-quality governance, and supporting colleagues to operate confidently within clear controls and processes. The role will also provide essential additional capacity to help the team manage an increased volume of activity and ensure governance and control standards continue to be met during a period of heightened workload. A bit about the job: This role ensures governance, risk and controls across GI GTM are clear, aligned and effective. It leads the development and improvement of governance frameworks, keeping policies, standards and controls simple and fit for purpose. The role strengthens risk management by maintaining risk registers, tracking mitigations, identifying emerging risks and escalating issues when needed. It supports assurance activity, including audits, control testing and compliance reviews, ensuring evidence is accurate and easy to access. The role also oversees finance-related governance, including spend, to ensure controls are robust and well understood. Clear reporting gives stakeholders confidence, highlights issues early and offers practical solutions. The role helps keep governance information flowing across GI C&M, supporting GTM teams to understand and follow agreed processes. It also supports cross-GTM initiatives, ensuring decisions align with governance frameworks and deliver strong business outcomes. Skills and experience were looking for: Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management principles, and internal control design.
Ability to identify risks and issues early, assess impact, and propose pragmatic solutions.
Skilled at creating clear, concise governance documentation and reporting for stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and respond flexibly to changing requirements.
Knowledge of Consumer duty
