Gill Autos is a fast-growing, high-performance independent automotive workshop in the UK specialising in premium European brands. We are building a team of elite technicians who take pride in precision, diagnostics, and complex mechanical work.

We are now seeking an experienced Master Technician with strong expertise in engine overhauling and transmission repairs to join our expanding team.

The Role

This is not a general mechanic position.

We are looking for a technician capable of handling complex internal mechanical work including:

• Engine rebuilding and full overhauls
• Cylinder head repairs and timing system work
• Automatic and manual transmission repairs
• Gearbox removal and rebuilds
• Advanced mechanical diagnostics
• Root-cause fault finding (not parts replacement guessing)

You will play a key role in expanding our in-house capabilities and reducing outsourced engine and gearbox work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on automotive experience
• Proven experience in engine rebuilds and transmission repairs
• Strong understanding of internal engine components and mechanical systems
• Experience with premium European brands preferred (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, JLR, Porsche etc.)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex repairs
• Strong work ethic and professional mindset

English proficiency required (IELTS/PTE acceptable).
