Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Leeds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple live projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and effective subcontractor management.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, and supply chain partners, the M&E Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in driving commercial performance and ensuring value is delivered across all MEP elements.
The successful candidate will work closely with commercial managers and operational teams to ensure all M&E packages are commercially managed in line with contract requirements and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial performance of M&E packages across multiple projects in the £5m£50m range Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and contract awards Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts for mechanical and electrical works Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management Administer contracts in accordance with relevant standard forms and company procedures Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across M&E packages Liaise with subcontractors to agree variations, payments, and final accounts in a timely manner Support project managers in commercial decision-making xehkeey and value engineering initiatives Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain accurate commercial records Attend site and client meetings, providing clear commercial reporting and updates Contribute to supply chain development and maintain strong subcontractor relationships Support continuous improvement in commercial processes and cost management practices In Return, Our Client Offers Competitive salary (DOE) Car allowance Hybrid working (where applicable) Pension scheme Private healthcare Performance-related bonus Opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of regional projects with strong career progression within a growing main contractor
