A growing and vibrant M&E Contractor are looking for an M&E Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join their senior leadership team. They are part of a larger group of companies and as a result have an excellent client base and a solid portfolio of current and future works. They work in a wide variety of sectors and work on projects generally up to the value of around £6m. They are looking for a current M&Q Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, but this role is excellent for someone looking to progress their career towards Commercial Management having spent a good amount of time within the M&E industry. The salary will be dependant on experience but this is an opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a business who have come a long way in a relatively short time. Job Specification
Commercial and contractual management of projects under JCT and NEC forms of contract, Review, negotiation, and agreement of new M&E contracts. Ongoing contractual advice to project teams. Oversight and governance of all project commercial submissions, Monthly applications for payment. Variations and change control. Payment certificates. Final account negotiation and agreement. Management of project supply chain commercial activities, including procurement, supplier accounts, and cost tracking. Ensuring all commercial activities comply with contract terms, payment schedules, and internal controls. Proactive identification, management, and resolution of contentious or disputed commercial matters. Person Specification Proven 10years experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role within the M&E contracting sector. Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts. Experience operating in a small or growing business, where autonomy and accountability are essential. The ability to implement, improve, and enforce commercial processes. Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge commercial items. A collaborative approach, with the ability to support and guide project teams while maintaining commercial discipline.
